南非海关隶属于南非税务署（South African Revenue Service，简称SARS）。
一、任务
根据1997年南非税务署第34号法令，南非海关的任务是：
- 确保所有税收应收尽收
- 确保相关法律得以遵守
- 保护南非边境
- 促进贸易便利
二、职能
- 实施海关和贸易方面的法律、法规、规章
- 征收关税和进出口环节税
- 通过控制禁限类货物的进出口，保证南非公民的社会福利
- 确保货物及时通关，促进跨境旅客的快速通关
- 促进南非融入世界经济并使南非人从中受益

South Africa customs is part of the South African Revenue Service (SARS).
1、 Mission
According to the South African Revenue Service Act No. 34 of 1997, the tasks of the South African Customs are as followings:
-Ensure that all tax receivables are collected
-Ensure compliance with relevant laws
-Protecting the South African border
-Promoting trade facilitation
2、 Functions
-Implementation of customs and trade laws, regulations and rules
-Collection of customs duties and import and export taxes
-To ensure the social welfare of South African citizens by controlling the import and export of prohibited and restricted goods
-Ensure the timely clearance of goods and promote the rapid clearance of cross-border passengers
-Promoting South Africa's integration into the world economy and benefiting South Africans
